Spring CAASPP and SBAC Testing (Grades 3 – 5)

The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) will be administered to students in grades 3 – 5 at Alamosa Park on the following days during the morning hours: Monday – Wednesday, April 13 - 15 and April 20 - 22. These technology-based assessments will measure student achievement and understanding of the Common Core State Standards in the areas of English language arts and math. Students in grade 5 will also be taking the CAASPP Science Test on Monday & Tuesday, April 27 & 28 as well as the 5th grade Physical Fitness Test through May 15, 2015.

I would like to remind students and parents about the importance of students coming to school well rested and nourished for the assessments. Even though we will have make-up sessions during the weeks of April 27 and May 4, every effort in making sure that students are present during the assessment times and that appointments are scheduled on other days is greatly appreciated.

Please click HERE for additional information about the CAASPP and SBAC.

I wish all students the very best on the CAASPP and SBAC assessments.

Every child has a unique log in.

Just click the link above, click on the penguin's belly and your child can enter their picture ID to get started.  Students should spend a minimum of 20 minutes per session on ST math.

When you want to exit the program click the red arrow in the lower left corner of the computer screen.  Continue to press the red arrow until you are taken to a summary screen. From there click the red X and you will see a bubble rise to the top.  That means you are logged out and your work has been saved. Avoid exiting the program in the middle of an activity.
